This is an awesome story:
So I get an email today from a girl named Kelly:
We met last night at the Mat Kearney concert. By the power of google I stumbled upon your website - didn't think it would actually work - but here I am being slightly awkward and potentially creepy. One of my best friends moved to Kentucky after graduation and has been having a tough time adjusting to a new area because he doesn't know anyone. Seeing as you are in a similar situation I wanted to give you my number in case you ever need anything or decide to check out the amazing-ness that is Boulder, CO.
Happy Tuesday!
Kelly
So, I email back…
Hi Kelly!
It's really nice of you to email! (Not awkward or creepy). However, unless I was sleep-concerting, I don't think that we actually ever met. But man, sounds like a fun concert, I wish I was there! (I'm sure the "real" Matt was pretty fun too). Actually, I think it's pretty awesome that you went out on a limb to help someone out.
Take care and I hope you find the real Matt,
I have a laugh and post as my facebook status.
Only to get a reply from my friend Matt:
oh man this is pretty funny.
so turns out that Matt (Me) who lives in Denver and just graduated from the University of Evansville with a graphic design degree met a girl named Kelly at a concert last night.
only problem is you and I both meet all that criteria!
so knowing only that she went googleing and apparently thought that you were me.
rather funny really!
Phenomenal. I love the internet.
